Hints:
Try freehand cutting out swirls from patterned paper. Use plain background matching paper to enhance the swirls and paper accents.

Gee things are getting busy here in NZ. Christmas preps to be done and heaps of end of year stuff. Exciting but exhusting!

Hints:
With this layout I enhanced the background paper flower on the top right by adding embellishments on top of it. Also added strips of paper on the top and bottom of the photos with brads to add a different look.

Hints:
Use spotted paper and spotted ribbon and then reflect those spots in hand cut out spots to the left of your layout. All in the same colours of course. lol

Hints:
Don't be afraid to doodle swirly "tails" on your embellishments. Grouping photos together without gaps in the middle of the page but balance it up in a square or other type of shape.

Hi all I know not only I have problems with reminding myself about birthdays. I struggle and miss out on someones birthday every year because my mind is else where these days.

I had some distance photos of animals so I cropped them right down to the animal and matted them on corrugated/crimped card stock. Putting angles on photos and title gives this page a "fun" feel.

Hints:
Try doing some embossing for your embellishments. This one is tissue or paper towels that were wet - put on a mold and then left to dry.

Catch up on Sketches
Hi all since I missed out on 4 days of posting..... Here are 4 sketches.........

Hints:
fish layout - when putting embellishments on a busy background let them stand out by mounting them first on plain paper then put them on with foam dots. ;)
Baptisim layout - if you have heaps of photos with little subjects in them, cut them smaller then put them in a row. put foam dots on the back of the middle one to add interest.
Crash layout - I took a photo of the road outside my place with moss on it for the background paper. I printed it from my home printer. Also printed a tag with the same picture.
Wedding layout - I took a card we recieved and put that into the layout of our wedding photo.

Hint: Here I had some great paper but only a printer sized sheet so I cut it in strips and put that in the background. Then cut out fish shapes, mounted them on plain card and stuck them to foam tape to make them stand out. Perfect for that fishing trip page!

Hint: Punch or cut out squares out of a photo of a texture that goes with your photos for your argyle look. Here I also used blue card stock and stamped a squiggle on the little squares. (Handmade stamp made out of polymire clay). I also inked edges.
